Jong Uichico now with Smart Gilas Pilipinas

The Serbian coach Rajko Toroman was replaced by Jong Uichico to take over the coaching job for the National Team. The service of eight-time PBA champion coach Uichico will be badly needed by our National Team since the national interest is a stake.

The SMC management believes in his experience and bright mind that he can improve the team’s performance in the international tournaments. He will be joined by Chot Reyes, Ryan Grogorio, Norman Black and Tim Cone to combine their coaching ideas in helping the Gilas. Uichico is the 4th best in championship title with 8 championships in PBA being Baby Dalupan the 1st with 15 championships followed by Tim Cone 12 and Norman Black with 10.
